Here at Cave Troll Forge Co. we have plenty of options to give you or a loved one all you need to have a great forging experience or to learn the basics of blacksmithing of bladesmithing!

Lessons are in Steubenville Ohio taught by me, Luke Terry.

Blacksmith for a Day:
Now you, your child, or a loved one can experience what it's like to work as a blacksmith for a day! In this once in a lifetime opportunity you will forge supervised and learn to make your own hand-forged railroad spike knife or a marshmallow/bbq skewer!

Pricing:
Child (8-13): $50.00 per experience
Adults: $60.00 per experience

(Saturday-Sunday) 10am-12pm, 12:30pm-2:30pm, 3pm-5pm

Basics of Blacksmithing Course:
We have created our own specialized curriculum created to teach you all you need to know about the basics of blacksmithing in just 4, 2 hour lessons!

Child (8-13): $30.00 per lesson
Adults: $40.00 per lesson

Basics of Bladesmithing Course:
We recommend you participate in our Basics of Blacksmithing Course before enrolling in this course. However, even if you haven't and feel you have more experience in a workshop then this is the perfect course for you to learn to make knives and other assorted blades. In this course, you will learn the basics of how to forge, grind, and heat treat a knife, as well as how to secure one with a handle!
The overarching goal of this course is for you to complete your own knife but in the early stages, you will complete your own railroad spike knife. So unlike the blacksmithing course, you will not go home every day with something, but by the end, you will have a railroad spike knife and your own customized knife and sheath of your own design!
